  1. The workplace communications podcast chaired by Ian Hughes highlighted the epidemic of anxiety and loneliness that is blighting the lives of so many in this strange new world of instant communication and social media. Instead of being a tool that strengthens democracy and gives people a space in which to discuss ideas it has become an echo chamber for discord, grievances and many other unintended consequences.
The flattening of hierarchies in order to create a more equal world is the most urgent and difficult work facing democracy. It is so important to highlight the power of casting your vote it is the one time power resides with the people and we are all given an equal voice. Despite its imperfections it is the best form of setting the question of who has the legitimate authority to govern.
    Looking forward to more podcasts.
